Wedding

Whew! We have just returned from a road trip to Virginia. We drove 16 hours there and back for my brother Dave’s wedding.

Dave married the lovely Lindsay in her grandparents’ yard, which has a panoromic view of Massanutten Mountain. They couldn’t have chosen a better evening for the ceremony. It was absolutely charming.

I had fun experimenting with the video function on my camera, and I think I’ve figured out how to post some of them here through You Tube.

Before the wedding, Dave was cool as a cucumber.

Most people watch the bride as she walks down the aisle, but we decided to see how the groom responded during this important part of the ceremony.

Everyone wants to see the kiss!

A relieved Dave and Lindsay chat with me and Keith after the ceremony.

At the reception, the wedding cake was not wasted.

Finally, they make their grand exit amid a flurry of flower petals.

Congratulations, Dave and Lindsay!

The videos are much better quality when viewed directly on the computer rather than uploading through YouTube, but they are also much larger files. We’ll have to put the original files on a CD for any family members who are interested.

The wedding was very nice, and Lydia handled the trip pretty well. Thank goodness for Baby Einstein and the Wiggles. We pulled out the videos when times started to get desperate, and they would keep her attention for another hour or so.

    Congrats Dave and Lindsay!

Thanks so much for posting the videos! It’s been so long since I last saw David. Please tell him and Lindsey congratulations from me! And, is David’s groomsman John the same one we went to high school with?

Oh… I also noticed you seem to have picked up a bit of a southern accent after living in southwest Missouri all these years! ;)
